Congress Activities

Scientific Communications

1) Conferences: These will be delivered by emblematic figures of the nursing profession and the health system. Experts will be invited to share their experiences and knowledge on effective nursing interventions and the contributions of nurses to population health.

2) Workshops: They will provide an opportunity to discuss best practices and share experiences on nursing interventions. They may be organized by hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, or professional associations expressing interest. Organizations interested in this area must submit a summary, objectives, methodology, and the resources to be mobilized.

3) Symposium of health training institutions on nursing practice and care outcomes: These will allow researchers to present reflections on a common theme to seek points of agreement, definitions, or common conceptualizations. Interested health training institutions or organizations must submit a general abstract of the proposed theme and specific abstracts for each communication within the symposium.

4) Multidisciplinary roundtable on nursing practice in the context of universal health coverage.

5) Oral presentations in person or via videoconference to allow researchers and professionals to present their work on the different themes of the congress.

6) Plenary symposium of sponsors on their contribution to universal health coverage and their support in the provision of care.

7) Scientific poster presentations on the congress themes to foster greater interaction between researchers and participants.

Forum on nursing curricula in Cameroon and access to the legal practice of the profession.

Work will be conducted in different regions. They will be coordinated by the Regional Sections of the OPMS and/or the Regional Delegations of the AIIC, where they exist. Professional associations, training institutions, and health facilities will be invited to take part in these meetings. During the Congress, the different delegations will present their reports, discussions will follow, and a joint position statement will be adopted and disseminated.

Elective General Assembly

During this Congress, AIIC members, gathered in the General Assembly, will elect the new Board of Directors which will define the new orientations and policies of the AIIC.
