EXCELLENCE IN NURSING LEADERSHIP AWARD

1.1 PRESENTATION FORM

The form must be submitted as a single PDF file and must include the following sections:

1.1.1 CANDIDATE IDENTIFICATION

  • Full name
  • Age (optional)
  • Current position
  • Unit / Healthcare institution
  • Years of professional experience
  • Professional contact information

1.1.2 PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND – Last 10 Years

A synthetic presentation including:

  • Positions held (title, location, duration)
  • Main duties
  • Clinical or administrative responsibilities
  • Major professional advancements

(This section should allow assessment of continuity in leadership.)

1.1.3 PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

A clear and documented list of the most significant accomplishments:

  • Protocols developed or revised
  • Tools created (checklists, procedures, educational materials, guidelines, reference documents…)
  • Organizational innovations implemented (new workflow, new method, quality improvement initiatives)
  • Clinical projects conducted within the unit or service
  • Audit tools, evaluation grids, or professional supports developed
  • Professional or community-based interventions: awareness campaigns, screenings, prevention activities, community training, emergency or humanitarian interventions, targeted health education actions, coaching or mentoring of peers

Note: For each achievement, provide:
Objective – Brief description – Candidate’s role – Before/after situation (if available) – Evidence (integrated as annexes in the PDF)

1.1.4 LETTERS, CERTIFICATES AND RECOGNITIONS

Attach the following documents (when available) as annexes:

  • Letter of congratulations or appreciation from supervisors, services, partners, or users
  • Official certificates of participation in committees, working groups, or clinical missions
  • Certificates of recognition or professional awards

(These elements provide external validation of leadership.)

1.1.5 MANDATORY LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

Issued by:

  • a direct supervisor (nurse manager, head of unit, director of nursing), or
  • an institutional authority who has observed the candidate’s leadership

The letter must:

  • confirm the candidate’s role
  • validate the authenticity of the actions
  • explain the added value of the candidate’s leadership

1.2 VISUAL PRESENTATION FOR ONLINE VOTING

The application will be integrated into an electronic voting system. The following must be included:

  • A professional photograph of the candidate
  • A one-page summary including:
    • Professional background
    • Three major achievements
    • Two key interventions
    • Core impact

This summary will serve as the public-facing profile for voters.

1.3 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICATION FILE

  • A single PDF file titled: NOM_Prenom_Leadership2026.pdf
  • Maximum 6 pages, including the one-page summary, excluding annexes
  • Annexes limited to necessary supporting evidence
  • Submission through the congress platform

1.4 EVALUATION CRITERIA

 

  • Professional background: 20 pts
  • Professional achievements: 40 pts
  • Demonstrated impact: 20 pts
  • Certificates, letters, recognitions: 10 pts
  • Recommendation letter: 5 pts
  • Visual presentation for voting: 5 pts

            Total: 100 pts
